Loosing two siblings
In 1976, I lost two siblings. The first, was Sam Pan, my brother and the second, was Srey Poeu, my sister. I do not know why this incident occurred. Furthermore, I do not know where they were taken to, when they were killed, and where they were killed. They both disappeared from a cooperative, located in the Damnak Krasaing village, Pra Phnum commune, Nakor Bachey district. I do not know who the chief of the cooperative was. No one told me anything about their disappearance. I do not know who is responsible for this incident. |

Forced labor
From 1975 to 1979, I was made to do forced labor, such as farming, building a dam, and digging a canal. I dug the canal at the Wat Thmei dam, and worked all over the place in a mobile work brigade of the Pra Phnum commune. If we did not do the assigned tasks, we would be killed. This order came from a unit chief named Ta Phen, who is still alive and lives in an unknown location. Everyday under the regime, I worked from six a.m. to twelve p.m., before receiving a very small amount of rice to eat. Ten people received two cans of rice. After eating, [I] worked until twelve at night. If a person became ill, he or she had to keep working. If not, he or she would be killed. This was an order from Ta Phen. I do not know exactly why they forced us to work extremely hard, and gave such a tiny amount of food to eat. |
