Bun Sophal, 30, Deputy Chief of Small Cell, was born in Svay Rieng District, Svay Rieng Province. In 1970, Sophal joined the Vietnamese troop. In the middle of the year, Sophal stayed with Kampuchean forces under the direction of Ta Sokh. At the end of the year 1971, Ta Sokh dispatched him to Battalion 130 under the leadership of Phuon. Phan indoctrinated Sophal to serve the Free Khmer movement in 1972 and named Sophal as a [member of]Company to infiltrate and strengthen forces and to convince soldiers to counter the revolution consecutively. In 1975, Phuon and Phan assigned Sophal to infiltrate into unit 502 of aviation to strengthen forces secretly to prepare for July 1976 plots to destroy important materials in charge. Sophal was the person whom Sophal trusted Phuon and Phan because they had the know-how to keep all things confidential.
ប៊ុន សុផល អាយុ ៣០ឆ្នាំ អានុកងតូច កើតនៅស្រុកស្វាយរៀង ខេត្ដ ស្វាយរៀង។ ១៩៧០ ចូលធ្វើកងទព័វៀតណាម លុះដល់ពាក់ កណ្ដាលឆ្នាំមកនៅជាមួយកងទព័ខ្មែរវិញ ក្រោមការដឺកនាំរបស់តាសុខ ដល់ចុងឆ្នាំ ១៩៧១ តាសុខ បញ្ជូនមកបំពេញកងវរៈ ១៣០ ក្រោមការដឺកនាំរបស់ភួន និង ផាន អប់រំ សុផល អោយចូលបំរើ ក្នុងចលនាខ្មែរសេរី នៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៧២ ហើយបានចាត់តាំង សុផល ឡើងជាអនុសេនាធំ ដើម្បីបង្កប់ពង្រីកកំលាំង និងចលនាយុទ្ធជន ប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដជាបន្ដបន្ទាប់។ ១៩៧៥ ភួន និង ផាន ចាត់តាំង សុផល អោយ មកបង្កប់ក្នុង ៥០២ អាកាសចរ ដើម្បីពង្រីកកំលាំង ដោយសំងាត់ ត្រៀមចាំផែនការខែ ៧-១៩៧៦ កំទេចសម្ភារៈ សំខាន់ៗ ដែលខ្លួនទទួលខុសត្រូវ។ សុផល ជាមនុស្សដែល ភួន និង ផាន ទុកចិត្ដ ព្រោះប្រើទៅណាមកណាចេះលាក់ការណ៍។
