After the liberation, the Angkar assigned Ung Lai San, train worker of Phnom Penh, to repair railway at Kampot. On September 21, 1976, Ung Lai San became sick and were under treatment in train hospital in Phnom Penh. During he was in train hospital, Pon Yim indoctrinated him to betray the revolution and gave him a plan to build up forces in order to attack the revolution in 1977.
អ៊ុង ឡៃសាន ជាកូនកម្មកររថភ្លើង នៅភ្នំពេញ ក្រោយថ្ងៃរំដោះ អង្គការចាត់តាំងឱ្យទៅជួសជុលផ្លូវរថភ្លើងនៅកំពត។ នៅថ្ងៃ ២១-៩-៧៦ ឈ្មោះនេះឈឺមកដេកពេទ្យរថភ្លើងភ្នំពេញ ពេលនោះ នួន ប៉ុនលឹម បានអប់រំឱ្យក្បត់ហើយឱ្យទៅកសាងកម្លាំងរៀបចំធ្វើបាតុកម្ម ប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដ និងវាយបដិវត្ដនៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៧។
