Yuos Chhit aka Chum, Commissioner of Battalion, Regiment 23, Division 290, admitted that Leng, was a cadre of political affairs in Division 290. In 1965, Leng was a Teacher of Areak Chey primary school. After that, Chhouk convinced Chum to join the Free Khmer, and introduced Leng to Thuch, and Thuch then introduced Leng to Yuos Sophon. In 1971, Leng flee to join the enemy in Kach Chheu; he was currently carrying out the Free Khmer activities in Division 290.
ឈ្មោះ យស់ ឈិត ហៅ ជុំ ស្នងការវរសេនាតូច វរសេនាធំ ២៣ កងពល ២៩០ បាននិយាយថា ឈ្មោះ ឡេង ជាកម្មាភិបាល ក្រសួងនយោបាយ កងពល ២៩០។ ពីមុន ឡេង ធ្វើជាគ្រូបង្រៀន នៅសាលាបឋមសិក្សារក្សជ័យកុ្នងឆ្នាំ ១៩៦៥។ ក្រោយមកឈ្មោះ ឈូក បានអប់រំ ជុំ ឱ្យចូលខ្មែរសេរី ហើយបានឧទេ្ទសនាម ឡេង មកឱ្យឈ្មោះ ធុច ហើយ ធុច បានបន្ដឱ្យទៅ យស់ សុផុន។ ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧១ ឡេង រត់ចូលខ្មាំងនៅឈើកាច់។ បច្ចុប្បន្ន ឡេង ធ្វើ សកម្មភាពខ្មែរសេរីនៅកងពល ២៩០។
