From 1966 to 1969, Im Sam-Oeun was in charge of hunting Khmer Rouge down and then sent them to Ngin Savoeun, chief of district. After, 18 March 1970, he worked as a militiaman at Ta Prok sub-district, and then was sent to Chamkar Leu district. Bun convinced Sam-Oeun to provoke people to revolt against the revolution and also assigned him to spy on people who disagreed with that plan and then sent them to prison. Um Sam-Oeun continuously convinced people to rebel against the revolution, until the Angkar arrested him.
ពីឆ្នាំ ១៩៦៦ ដល់ ឆ្នាំ ១៩៦៩ អ៊ឹម សំអឿន បានតាមដានចាប់ ខ្មែរក្រហម ឱ្យចៅហ្វាយស្រុកឈ្មោះ ងិន សារឿន ។ ក្រោយថ្ងៃ ១៨ មីនា ១៩៧០ ធ្វើឈ្លបនៅឃុំ តាប្រុក ក្រោយមកនៅទ័ព សុកចំការលើ ហើយទទួលការអប់រំពីឈ្មោះ ប៊ុន ឱ្យបំផុសចលនា មហាជនឱ្យប្រឆាំងអង្គការបដិវត្ដ តាមដានផ្ទះប្រជាជនណាមិនធ្វើ តាមចាប់យកមកដាក់គុក។ អ៊ឹម សំអឿន បានធ្វើសកម្មភាព ឃោសនាប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដជាប់រហូតដល់ថ្ងៃអង្គការចាប់ខ្លួន។
