Ngan Vat got married to Khut Khom in 1968. He has 9 children. His father called Tres Ngan. Tres Ngan died in 1976 because of starvation. His mother called Nhep. Nhep recently died in her eighties. He has 9 siblings, but three of them died. In the Khmer Rouge regime, he was lacking of food, medical care, and shelter. He was in combat situation. He was brainwashed. He was close to death. He was forced to separate from his family members. He was drown in 1967. He was suffocate in 1976. Recently, he has recurrent thoughts of the most hurtful events. He feels jumpy. He finds it is difficult to concentrate. He is avoiding activities that remind him of the traumatic events. He is avoiding thoughts associated with the traumatic experience. He find it is difficult to perform his daily tasks. He spends time thinking about why these events happened to him.
ង៉ន វ៉ាតរៀបការជាមួយឃុត ខុមនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៦៨។ គាត់មានកូន៩នាក់។ ឪពុករបស់គាត់ឈ្មោះតេ្រស ង៉ន។ តេ្រស ង៉ន ស្លាប់នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៦ដោយសារភាពអត់ឃ្លាន។ ម្ដាយឈ្មោះញ៉េប។ ញ៉េបស្លាប់នៅអាយុប្រហែល៨០ឆ្នាំជាង។ គាត់មានបងប្អូន៩នាក់ប៉ុនែ្ដស្លាប់អស់បីនាក់ហើយ។ នៅសម័យខែ្មរក្រហម គាត់ខ្វះខាតម្ហូប ថ្នាំពេទ្យ និងជម្រកស្នាក់នៅ។ គាត់ប្រយុទ្ធតស៊ូនៅក្នុងសមរភូមិ។ គាត់ត្រូវគេអប់រំអោយផ្លាស់ប្ដូរគំនិត។ គាត់ជីតតែនឹងត្រូវស្លាប់ខ្លួន។ គាត់ត្រូវខែ្មរក្រហមបំបែកចេញពីសមាជិកគ្រួសារដោយបង្ខំ។ គាត់ធ្លាប់លង់ទឹកនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៦៧។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ថប់ដង្ហើមនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៦។ បច្ចុប្បន្ន គាត់ចេះតែធើ្វឱ្យនឹកឃើញជារឿយៗដល់ហេតុការណ៍ដែលឈឺចាប់បំផុតរបស់គាត់។ គាត់ឆាប់ភ្ញាក់ផ្អើល។ គាត់ពិបាកផ្ចង់គំនិតគិតទៅលើអ្វីមួយ។ គាត់ចង់ជៀសវាងនូវសកម្មភាពណាដែលធើ្វឱ្យគាត់នឹកដល់ហេតុការណ៍ក្រៀមក្រំចិត្ដរបស់គាត់។ គាត់ចង់ជៀសវាងមិនអោយគិតអំពីហេតុការណ៍ក្រៀមក្រំចិត្ដទាំងនោះ។ គាត់មានការលំបាកក្នុងការបំពេញមុខងារផេ្សងៗប្រចាំថៃ្ង។ គាត់ចេះតែធើ្វឱ្យគាត់ចំណាយពេលគិតឆ្ងល់ថាហេតុអី្វបានជាហេតុការណ៍ទាំងនោះកើតមានចំពោះគាត់។
