On 10 october 1973, 30 khmer rebels of unit 73, equipped with PMAC, B40, B41 and 5 rolls of plastic, departed from Ket Chong village and traveled by boat to hide themselves in Tuol Sleng village of Prek Thmei sub-district, Kien Svay district, Kandal province. They attempted to attack national troop in Chba Ampeou and to destroy the United Nation bridge, former Monivong bridge.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១០ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមក្នុងកងលេខ១៧៣ ចំនួនប្រហែល៣០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធប៉េអ៊ឹមអាសេ, បេ៤០, បេ៤១ ហើយពិសេសមានប្លាសិ្ទច៥ដុំម្នាក់ បានធើ្វចលនាចេញពីភូមិកែតចង់ តាមទូកចំនួន៥គ្រឿងមកលាក់ខ្លួននៅភូមិទួលស្លែង ក្នុងសង្កាត់ ព្រែកថី្ម ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ពួកវាមានគោលបំណងប្រុង វាយប្រហារកងទ័ពជាតិនៅច្បារអំពៅ និងកាត់ផ្ដាច់ស្ពានអង្គការ សហប្រជាជាតិ អតីតស្ពានមុនីវង្ស។
