Sum Son, who was an actine commander in company 38, battalion 302, regiment 16, in district 12, region 31 zone 405, was arrested in the east of kab srouv on 20-1-1974. The regiment was divided into 3 battalions (180, 136, 302). Its duty was to cut off the national road 5, around Au Sandann and attack Phnom Penh, starting from kab srouv. Food was provided by people, and weapons were provided by people Republic of China. Their propaganda was to incite people to struggle in order to deliberate people and country from the control of American empire; on the other hand they scared the army and people that the government would kill someone who defected. Khmer communist had controversy with people because they confiscated people's property and considered it as collective. Soldiers didn't have attention to fight, but they were forced to do so. People were forbidden to have love affair, to drink and to dress well.
ឈ្មោះ ស៊ុំ សុន បានចាប់ខ្លួននៅថ្ងៃទី២០ ខែមករា ១៩៧៤ នៅខាង កើតកប់ស្រូវ ដែលមានតួនាទីជាមេបញ្ជាការស្ដីទីនៃកងអនុសេនាធំ៣៨ កងវរសេនាតូច៣០២ វរសេនាធំ១៦ ប្រចាំស្រុក១២ តំបន់៣១ ភូមិភាគ៤០៥។ កងឯកភាពនេះចែកចេញជា៣កងវរសេនាតូចគឺ (១៨០, ១៣៦, ៣០២) ហើយមានភារៈកិច្ចវាយផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ ៥ ត្រង់ម្ដុំអូរសណ្ដាន់ និងវាយសម្រុកចូលក្រុងភ្នំពេញចាប់ពីកប់ស្រូវ ទៅ។ ចំពោះស្បៀងអាហារបានមកពីការជួយផ្គត់ផ្គង់ពីប្រជាជន និង គ្រាប់រំសេវបានជួយពីប្រទេសចិន។ ការឃោសនារបស់ខ្មាំង គឺពន្យល់ឱ្យខំប្រឹងប្រែងវាយរំដោះប្រជាជន និងប្រទេសជាតិឱ្យផុតពីការត្រួតត្រា របស់ចក្រពត្ដិនិយម ហើយម្យ៉ាងទៀតបំភ័យកងទ័ពថាៈ កាលណាចូល រួបរួមជាមួយរដ្ឋាភិបាល នោះនឹងត្រូវពួកខាងរដ្ឋាភិបាលសម្លាប់ ចោល។ ពួកខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដមានទំនាស់ជាមួយប្រជាជន ដោយពួកវាបាន រឹបអូសទ្រព្យសម្បត្ដិប្រជាជនដាក់រួម។ ចំពោះកងទ័ពគ្មានទឹកចិត្ដធ្វើ សង្គ្រាមទេ ហើយកាលដែលធ្វើនេះ គឺដោយការបង្ខិតបង្ខំតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ពួកវាហាមមិនឱ្យមានសេ្នហា ផឹកស៊ីសប្បាយ និងស្លៀកពាក់ល្អៗ។
