Kruy Chheng Heng served Khmer Communist as a children school teacher in June 1970. In the middle of 1971, he became a soldier in Chey Yo for four months. In 1972, he was a vice Zone secretary. In late 1972, he was a mobile soldier in Zone 304, in special troops 301, which amounted to five hundreds men, and under Mith Suong’s order. There were only two medics. Mith Kan was an academic youth to sentence soldiers and conducted wear ideology. Military strategy was instructed by Mith Song, 40, from Youn Hanouy. The training was about raid attack to capture enemy site. Flower attack strategy was to cause explosion from inside the fortress, then other grenades are thrown with different positions, bullets are sprayed and reverse to prepare like letter< L>. Enemies are shot when they appear in the goal. Food was solicited from people. Weapons came from China, and some were looked during attack with national forces. Kruy Chheang Heng was wounded and stayed in hospital for 3 months. They didn’t go to combat, but it was difficult to flee because back up forces were strong. In 1974 Kruy Chheang Heng defected to Khmer Republic.
គ្រុយ ឈាងហេងបានបម្រើខ្មែរកុម្មុយនីស្ដនៅខែមិថុនា ១៩៧០ ជាគ្រូបង្រៀនកេ្មងៗ។ ពាក់កណ្ដាលឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ធ្វើជាប្រធាន យុទ្ធជនឃុំជយោរយៈពេល៤ខែ។ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ ធ្វើជាលេខាអម លេខាធិការភូមិភាគ។ ចុងឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ ធ្វើជាទ័ពចល័តប្រចាំភូមិ ភាគ៣០៤ក្នុងទ័ពពិសេសលេខ៣០១ មានគ្នា៥០០នាក់ក្រោមបញ្ជា មិត្ដសួង។ មានបុគ្គលិកពេទ្យ២នាក់ប្រចាំការ។ នៅក្នុងវរសេនាតូច ៧០៣ សភាយុវជនឈ្មោះ មិត្ដកានសម្រាប់កាត់ទោសយុទ្ធជន និងធ្វើសង្គ្រាមចិត្ដសាស្ដ្រ។ ចំពោះការហាត់រៀនក្បួនយុទ្ធសាស្ដ្រ មានមិត្ដសុងមកពីយួនហាណូយអាយុជាង៤០ឆ្នាំ គឺហាត់រៀន សង្គ្រាមឈ្លបវាយទីតាំង វាយផ្ការីក គឺយកគ្រាប់បែកធ្វើឱ្យផ្ទុះពីខាងក្នុងបន្ទាយវិញ បន្ទាប់មកចោលគ្រាប់បែកផ្លាស់ទីកន្លែង រួចបាញ់ហើយដកថយ ត្រៀមរបៀបអក្សរអិល បើទ័ពម្ខាងទៀត ដើរដល់ក្បាលត្រៀមក៏បាញ់មុន រួចទ័ពចំហៀងចាញ់ជាមួយគ្នា។ ចំពោះស្បៀងអាហាររៃអង្គាសពីអ្នកស្រុក។ កាំភ្លើងបានមក ពីចិនកុម្មុយនីស្ដនិងវាយដណ្ដើមពីទ័ពជាតិ។ នៅពេលវាយក្រុង កំពង់ចាម គ្រុយ ឈាងហេងត្រូវរបួសដេកនៅកំពង់ស្ពឺអស់៣ខែ។ ពួកទ័ពរំដោះពុំចង់ច្បាំងទេ ប៉ុន្ដែពិបាករត់ចោលជួរណាស់ព្រោះ សមរភូមិក្រោយកៀបខ្លាំង។ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ហេងបានវិលត្រឡប់មក សាធារណរដ្ឋខ្មែរវិញ។
