On 7 october 1973, 20 khmer rebels armed force robbed 40 inhabitant boats, behind Prek Ampil pagoda. Some of them were deployed along both side of the river in attempt to confiscate inhabitants' boat to ferry them to Pok Reussei to attack national troop.
នៅថ្ងៃទី៧ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមចំនួនប្រហែល២០នាក់ ស្លៀកពាក់ចម្រុះ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានមកស្ទាក់ចាប់ទូកអ្នក ស្រុកយើងនៅព្រែកអំពិលអស់៤០គ្រឿង សិ្ថតនៅក្រោយវត្ដព្រែក អំពិល។ ហើយពួកវាមួយចំនួនបានមករាយគ្នាលាក់ខ្លួននៅសងខាងដង សឹ្ទង ក្នុងគោលបំណងកែនទូកអ្នកស្រុកអោយបានច្រើន ទុកសម្រាប់ ចំលងកងទ័ពរបស់វា ដើម្បីវាយប្រហារទីតាំងកងទ័ពជាតិនៅពុកឫស្សី។
