On February 28, 1972, second lieutenant Chrach Thorn, the chief of the 2nd bureau of general staff and major lieutenant Chieng Nal interrogated Chan Bun Sun. He confessed that on March 18, 1970 he served in battalion 196 as a soldier under the command of major, Keo San.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៨ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ វរសេនីយ៍ទោ ច្រាច ថន នាយការិយាល័យទី២ នៃអគ្គសេនាធិការដ្ឋាន និងអនុសេនីយ៍ឯក ឈៀង ណាល់ បានសួរចម្លើយឈ្មោះ ចាន់ ប៊ុន ស៊ុន។ សាមុី ខ្លួនសារភាពថា ក្រោយថ្ងៃ១៨ មីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧០ ខ្លួនបានធ្វើទាហាន នៅក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូចលេខ១៩៦ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការវរសេនីយ៍ត្រី កែវ សាន។
