A source said on July 10, 1973, about 1000 Khmer rebels, were divided into small groups of 50 to 100 men and deployed in Prey Rorboh, Rumlech and Khnar Torteng village in Svay Daun Keo sub-district in an attempt to blow up national road No. 5 at UU:510-973. The enemies also ordered people to immediately leave Prey Svay and Dam Nak Chrey villages because they planned to smash national military defence positions there in the very near future.
