On June 26, 1973, about 300 to 400 North armed Viet Cong soldiers deployed at the edge of Sanday village, from VU: 422-848 to VU: 440-863. The source added that about 400 to 500 North Viet Cong soldiers set up 2 heavy 105mm guns at VU: 977-901 and also deployed in villagers, houses from VU: 472-877, 475-894, 475-800 and VU: 475-898. The rest of them deployed under the tree along Stung Sen river.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៦ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង ប្រហែល៣០០ ទៅ៤០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានរាយគ្នានៅចុងភូមិសណ្ដាយចាប់ពីវ៉េអ៊ុយ៤២២-៨៤៨ រហូតដល់វ៉េអ៊ុយ៤៤០-៨៦៣។ ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់ទៀតថា យៀកកុងខាងជើងពី៤០០ ទៅ៥០០នាក់ បានតាំងអាវុធ១០៥មម ចំនួន២ដើមត្រង់ចំនុចវ៉េអ៊ុយ៩៧៧-៩០១ និងរាយគ្នានៅតាមផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុកត្រង់វ៉េអ៊ុយៈ៤៧២-៨៧៧, ៤៧៥-៨៩៤, ៤៧៥-៨០០ និង៤៧៥-៨៩៨ និងខ្លះ ទៀតរាយគ្នាក្រោមដើមឈើតាមបណ្ដោយសឹ្ទងសែន។
