On July 14, 1973, at 12h, about 1000 armed Khmer rebels in the unit 116K, hid themselves in Kampong Svay district, were divided into small groups and were stationed in the East of Basac river. A source said some 300-400 reinforcements in the unit 57, under the command of Menpo and equipped with 57mm, B40, B41 guns and 82mm mortars, were surrounded by national soldiers near Kohkrabei temple at VT:972-674 and Prekta Ev village at VT:995-675
in Prek Tmey sub-district, Kean Svay district and attempted to smash our national military positions in champous Ka-ek, VT: 960-684 in the near future. កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៤ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ម៉ោង១២ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រហែល ១០០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ ក្នុងកងលេខ១១៦គ ដែល លាក់ខ្លួនក្នុងស្រុក កំពង់ស្វាយស្រុកកៀនស្វាយានបំបែកគ្នាជាក្រុម តូចនៅខាងកើតទនេ្លបាសាក់។ ប្រភពបានបន្ថែមថា កងទ័ពជំនួយខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមចំនួន៣០០-៤០០នាក់ នៅកងពលលេខ៥៧ក្រោមបញ្ជាការ ឈ្មោះ ម៉ែន ប៉ូ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធ៥៧មម, កាំភើ្លងត្បាល់៨២មម, បេ៤០ និងបេ៤១ បានឡើងមកព័ទ្ធទីតាំងទ័ពជាតិយើង នៅម្ដុំវត្ដកោះក្របី ត្រង់វ៉េតេៈ ៩៧២-៦៧៤ និងភូមិព្រែកតាអេវ ត្រង់វ៉េតេៈ៩៩៥-៦៧៥ក្នុង សង្កាត់ព្រែកថី្ម ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ហើយវាមានបំណងកមេ្ទចទីតាំងទ័ព ជាតិយើងនៅចំពុះក្អែក ត្រង់វ៉េតេៈ៩៦០-៦៨៤ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗ។
