Men Sovann, a Police commission office and the commander of Unit 9, defected on April 09, 1973, to National Army in Kauk Tralach military base in Siem Reap province, brought along one China-made PM gun and AK gun. He confessed that in Unit 9, there were 320 soldiers. The Unit had divided into three companies and located in Lolum village at UV 776-755.
