Heng Chhan, defected on December 01, 1973, to General Staff in Oudong war-operation regoin were action region, bring along one AK-47 gun.
He said that he had served Khmer Rouge since February 1973 in unit 723, Region 30, as chief of 30-member unit, and that unit consisted of about 500 men, deploying themselves from Prek Kdam to Sambo. As for soldiers in unit 726, they deployed themselves from Sambo to Batheay, while soldiers in unit 312 deployed themselves near Batheay upto Tnol Totoeng and Pa-av. កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ហេង ឆាន បានមករួបរួមក្នុង សង្គមជាតិវិញនៅសេនាធិការតំបន់ប្រតិបត្ដិការសឹកឧដុង្គ ដោយនាំ មកនូវអាកា៤៧ មួយដើម។ សាមុីជនបានឆ្លើយថា ខ្លួនបានចូលបម្រើ ខ្មែរក្រហមកាលពីខែកុម្ភះ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ក្នុងកងវរៈលេខ៧២៣ តំបន់ ៣០ សព្វថ្ងៃខ្លួនមានឋានះជាមេកងដែលមានចំនួន៣០នាក់។ វរៈ៧២៣ មានគ្នាប្រហែល៥០០នាក់ រាយគ្នាពីព្រែកក្ដាមរហូតដល់សំបូរ រីឯ វរៈ៧២៦ រាយគ្នាពីសំបូរទៅបាធាយ និងកងវរៈ៣១២ រាយគ្នានៅម្ដុំបាធាយដល់ថ្នល់ទទឹង និងផ្អាវ។
