A source reported that about 180 Khmer Viet Cong armed forces came to settle shelters at VT 388-498, and other 70 equipped with weapons set shelters with the local people at VT 434-845, Sangkat Ya Ang, Thpong district "Kampong Speu". On February 20, 1972, at 12:00pm, there were North Yuon-Khmer Viet Congs, especially consisted heavy weapons had departed from Am Leang to settle in the forest along a creek at VT 319-841, VT 391-845, 396-845, 391-841. The source also confirmed that the enemies had made decoys on Chheu Teal trees in order to fire on the of National Airforce.
ប្រភពព័ត៌មានបានឱ្យដឹងថា ខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រហែល១៨០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ ដោយអាវុធគ្របដៃ បានមកតាំងជម្រកនៅត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៣៨៨-៤៩៨ និង៧០នាក់ទៀត ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានមកតាំង ជម្រកជាមួយអ្នកស្រុកត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៤៣៤-៨៤៥ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ យ៉ាអង្គ ស្រុកថ្ពង ខេត្ដកំពង់ស្ពឺ។ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២០ ខែកុម្ភះ ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧២ វេលាម៉ោង១២ៈ០០ថ្ងៃ មានពួកខ្មាំងយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង និងខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃទាំងអស់ ជាពិសេស មានអាវុធធុនធ្ងន់បានចេញដំណើរពីអមលាំង មកក្នុងព្រៃតាមបណ្ដោយ អូរក្នុងរង្វង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៣៩១-៨៤១ ៣៩១-៨៤៥, ៣៩៦-៨៤៥, ៣៩៦-៨៤១ ភ្នាក់ងារបានបញ្ជាក់ទៀតថា ពួកខ្មាំងមានធ្វើធ្នាក់លើ ដើមឈើទាលចាំបាញ់យន្ដហោះកងអាកាសចរការពារជាតិ។
