Keo Sarom, defected on January 17, 1973, to South Vietnam, in Tai Ninh. He said that he had served in the Army in 1970, as a combatant Battalion 275, which located in the Kampong Chork, Romduol district, Svay Rieng province.
កែវ សារូម បានរត់ចេញពីខ្មាំងហើយទៅចុះចូលជាមួយទាហានរដ្ឋ ការយៀកណាមខាងត្បូង នៅតាយនីញ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៧ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៣។ ប្រភពបានឱ្យដឹងថា សាម៉ីខ្លួនបានចូលធ្វើទាហាននៅកងវរ សេនាតូច២៧៥ ដែលតាំងទីនៅកំពង់ចក ស្រុករំដួល ខេត្ដស្វាយរៀង នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧០។
