On the night of September 18, 1972, 30 Khmer Viet Congs equipped with 60mm mortars, 3 B-40 and chinese PM under the command of Sor Sao, departed in 10 boats from Veal Treng village, WT:085-505, Sangkat Treay Sla, Sa Ang district, Kandal province and then divided into two groups. 5 boats hid along the forest
near Chak Angrut Pond WT:052-685, and the 5 other in the forest near Boung Thom WT:072-683, Sangkat Chhae Teal, Kien Svay district, Kandal Province. They armed to seek a position to set up an 82 mm mortars and a cannon 75mm in order to shell Takhmao province town and Chbar Ambov. កាលពីរាត្រីថ្ងៃទី១៨ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ មានខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួន៣០នាក់ មានកាំភើ្លងត្បាល់៦០មមមួយដើម, បេ-៤០ចំនួន៣ដើម ក្រៅពីនោះមានប៉េអ៊ឹមចិនដែលសិ្ថតនៅក្រោមបញ្ជាឈ្មោះ ស សៅ បានជិះទូកចំនួន១០គ្រឿង ចេញពីភូមិវាលត្រែងឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ០៨៥-៥០៥ សង្កាត់ត្រើយស្ល ស្រុកស្អាង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ហើយបានបំបែកជាពីរក្រុម គឺខ្មាំងចំនួន៥ទូក បង្កប់នៅតាមព្រៃមាត់បឹងបាក់អង្រុកឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ០៥២-៦៨៥, ចំណែកឯ៥ទូកទៀត បង្កប់នៅតាមព្រៃមាត់បឹងធំ ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេៈ០៧២-៦៨៣ សង្កាត់ឈើទាល ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ក្នុងគោលបំណងរកទីតាំងដាក់កាំភើ្លងត្បាល់៨២មម និងកាំភើ្លងកាណុង៧៥មម ដើម្បីបាញ់ផ្លោងដាក់ទីក្រុងតាខ្មៅ និងច្បារអំពៅ។
