Vun, alias Yim Thou, disappeared. Interviewed with his 53-year-old younger cousin Yim Men; Vun៌s father was Yim Chhuon and mother was Pen Noeun. Vun had 5 siblings and he was born in Tuol Chambakk village, Baray sub-district, Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province. Vun studied until grade 8 [in the old system]. He then left school and came to help his parents៌ work. Vun married a wife named Sy Yoeun, alias Seng, who was born in Kratie province. It was in 1968 that Vun volunteered to join the revolution because of being painful with America as well as Voeun៌s education. It was in 1971 that Vun was promoted as the sub-politic in Regiment Number 61, Unit 920. Through Man, he told that Vun has never returned to his home village since leaving home.
វុន ហៅ យឹម ធូ បាត់ខ្លួន ជួបជាមួយឈ្មោះ យឹម ម៉េន អាយុ៥៣ឆ្នាំ ត្រូវ ជាប្អូនប្រុសជីដូនមួយ។ វុន មានឪពុកឈ្មោះ យឹម ឈួន ម្ដាយឈ្មោះ ប៉ែន នឿន មានបងប្អូន៥ នាក់ មានស្រុក កំណើតនៅភូមិទួលចំបក់ ឃុំបារាយណ៍ ស្រុកពៃ្រឈរ ខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម។ វុន រៀនបាន ត្រឹមថ្នាក់ទី៨ឪចាស់ឱ ឈប់រៀន មកជួយធ្វើការងារឪពុកម្ដាយហើយបានរៀបការ ប្រពន្ធឈ្មោះ ស៊ី យឿន ហៅ សេង មានស្រុកកំណើតនៅ ខេត្ដក្រចេះ។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៦៨ បានស្ម័គ្រចិត្ដចូលបដិវត្ដ ដោយសារមានការ ឈឺចាប់និងអាមេរិចព្រមទាំងមានការអប់រំពីឈ្មោះ វឿង។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ មាន ឋានៈជាអនុប្រធាននយោបាយវរសេនាធំ លេខ៦១អង្គភាព៩២០។ បើតាមឈ្មោះ ម៉េន ប្រាប់ថា វុន ចាប់តាំងពីចេញពីផ្ទះមិនដែលឃើញត្រឡប់ស្រុកកំណើតវិញទេ។
