A source reported that about 800-900 Vietnamese and Khmer Viet Cong Armed Forces came to deploy and hide in a forest near Tram Ro Neap village from VT 694-937 to VT 785-925, to the East of Chen village at VT 785-925, there were about 300 enemies armed forces including 100 Khmer Armed Forces. The source indicated that the enemies set two anti -aircraft machine guns in Southwest Trapeang Ro Bang village at VT 735-935 and ready to attack the National Army in Thom village, Pon Nhea Pon commune.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា មានកងទ័ពខ្មាំងយៀកកុងប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធ ចម្រុះខ្មែរប្រហែលពី៨០០ ទៅ៩០០នាក់ រាយគ្នាជាក្រុមធំៗ លាក់ខ្លួន ក្នុងព្រៃជិតផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុក នៅភូមិត្រាំរនាប ចាប់ពីចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៦៩៤-៩៣៧ រហូតដល់វ៉េតេ ៧៨៥-៩២៥។ នៅខាងកើតភូមិចិន ត្រង់ វ៉េតេ ៧៨៥-៩២៥ មានកងទ័ពខ្មាំងចំនួនប្រហែលជា៣០០នាក់ ដោយមានលាយខ្មែរប្រហែល១០០នាក់។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ថា កងទ័ពខ្មាំងនេះមានតាំងកាំភ្លើងយន្ដការពារអាកាសចំនួន២ដើម នៅភាគនិរតី ភូមិត្រពាំងរបង ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៧៣៥-៩៣៥។ ជាពិសេស ពួកខ្មាំងប្រុងប្រៀបវាយប្រហារយោធាជាតិដែលតាំងនៅភូមិធំ ឃុំពញាពន់។
