Chiem Saroeun, alias Ron, male, disappeared. Interviewed with his 80-year-old father Chiem Sok; Saroeun៌s mother was Tang Yim. He was born in Kabas village, Khvet Thom sub-district, Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province. When he was a child, Saroeun studied until grade 7 [in the old system]. After leaving school, Saroeun came to help his parents in rice field. It was in 1974 that Saroeun volunteered to join the revolution as a Khmer Rouge soldier through Chek៌s enticement. When first joining the revolution, Saroeun was assigned to Prey Chhor district. Later, there was no information about him. Even thought the Khmer Rouge got the victory in 1975, Saroeun still disappeared while Sok, during the Khmer Rouge regime, was assigned by Angkar to farm in rice field in Kabas village. During the Khmer Rouge regime, her children and grandchildren lived separately from each other; in addition, two of her children had joined the revolution, but they all disappeared. When the Vietnamese soldiers marched into Cambodia in 1979, all Khmer Rouge ran away, and people returned to live in their home village.

បានទទួលដំណឹងអីដែរ។ សុក កាលជំនាន់ខែ្មរក្រហម អង្គការចាត់តាំងឱ្យទៅធ្វើស្រែ ភ្ជួររាស់នៅក្នុងភូមិកប្បាស កាលជំនាន់ខែ្មរក្រហមកូនចៅមិនបានរស់នៅ ជុំគ្នាទេ មានកូនចូលទៅធ្វើបដិវត្ដ២នាក់ តែបាត់ខ្លួនទាំងអស់។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៩ ពេលកងទ័ពវៀត ណាមចូលមកកម្មាភិបាល ខែ្មរក្រហមរត់អស់ ហើយប្រជាជនបានទៅរស់នៅតាមស្រុក កំណើតរៀងៗ ខ្លួនវិញ។ |
