Pel Aok, alias An, male, disappeared. Interviewed with his 76-year-old mother, Leng Hiek; Aok៌s father was Pal Oeun. An has 4 siblings and was born in Kvet Thum village, Kvet Thum sub-district, Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province. When he was a child, Aok studied until grade 5 [in the old system. He then left school and came to help his parents in rice field. It was in 1971 that Aok volunteered to join the revolution in Trapeang Ampil village because of the wrath of enemy. He was then assigned by Angkar to the front battlefield that its target was to fight Lon Nol៌s soldiers in Siem Reap province. When the Khmer Rouge got the victory in 1975, Aok along with another man came to visit home, driving a car. He then stayed for only one night because he៌s afraid that the upper class would cause troubles, and he told that he was nowadays working in Phnom Penh. After returning, it was no soon that Hiek went to visit her son in Phnom Penh. She saw Aok taught children in Chrang Chamrek, and at that time, there wasn៌t enough food because each person received only a piece of bread. After staying for one night, Hiek returned home. She later learned that Aok was assigned to work in Po Chin Tong. After that, he has disappeared until now. Hiek, during the Khmer Rouge regime, was assigned by Angkar as a chef in Kvet cooperative. During the Khmer Rouge regime, the daily food ration was only rice gruel mixed with corn. In general, each person៌s knee was getting bigger along with flesh-with-bones and he/ she was in life-and-death condition. It was until the Vietnamese soldiers marched into Cambodia that people have turned to live as usual that there was private food ration while some are able to eat according to what they could earn; in addition, it isn៌t like the Khmer Rouge regime.
ប៊ិន អោក ហៅ អាន ភេទប្រុស បាត់ខ្លួន ជួបជាមួយឈ្មោះ ឡេង សៀក អាយុ៧៦ឆ្នាំ ត្រូវជាម្ដាយ ឪពុកឈ្មោះ ប៉ាល់ អឿន មានបងប្អូន៤នាក់ មានស្រុកកំណើតនៅភូមិ ខ្វិតធំ ឃុំខ្វិតធំ ស្រុកពៃ្រឈរ ខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម។ អោក កាលពីតូចរៀនបានត្រឹម ថ្នាក់ទី៥ឪចាស់ឱ ហើយឈប់រៀនមកជួយធ្វើស្រែចម្ការឪពុក ម្ដាយ។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ បានស្ម័គ្រចិត្ដចូលបដិវត្ដនៅភូមិ ត្រពាំងអំពិល ដោយសារខឹងនិងខ្មាំង។ ក្រោយមកទៀតអង្គការបានចាត់តាំងឱ្យទៅសមរភូមិមុខមាន មុខសញ្ញាវាយជាមួយ ទាហាន លន់ នល់ នៅខាងខេត្ដសៀបរាប។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ ខែ្មរក្រហមទទួល ជ័យជំន្នះហើយ ឃើញកូនមកលេងម្ដងមានគ្នាពីរ នាក់ជិះឡានមក តែសម្រាកបានតែមួយយប់ទេ ព្រោះខ្លាចថ្នាក់ លើរករឿង គ្រាន់តែមកប្រាប់ថាម្ដាយថា សព្វថៃ្ងកូនធ្វើការនៅ ភ្នំពេញ រួចត្រឡប់ទៅ វិញ មិនយូរប៉ុន្មាន សៀក បានទៅលេង កូនរហូតដល់ភ្នំពេញ ឃើញកូនបង្រៀនកូនកេ្មងនៅច្រាំង ចំរេះ រួចហើយអាហារហូបចុកនៅពេលនោះមានការខ្វះខាត មួយនាក់ទទួលបានតែនំបុ័ងមួយកំណាត់ទេ កាលនោះសម្រាកបានតែមួយយប់កូនឱ្យត្រឡប់មកផ្ទះវិញ ក្រោយមកបានដឹងថា កូនឈ្មោះ អោក ធ្វើការនៅពោធិចិនតុង ក្រោយមកបាត់ដំណឹង រហូតដល់ពេលនេះ។ សៀក ជំនាន់ខែ្មរក្រហម អង្គការ ចាត់តាំងឱ្យធ្វើចុងភៅនៅសហករណ៍ភូមិខ្វិតធំ របបអាហារនៅជំនាន់ខែ្មរ ក្រហមហូបតែបបររាវលាយ ពោត និយាយទៅប្រជាជន ម្នាក់ៗធំតែក្បាលជង្គង់ទេ សាច់ជាប់ឆ្អឹងសេ្ទីររស់សេ្ទីរស្លាប់។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩ ៧៩ ពេលកងទ័ពវៀតណាមចូលមកដល់ ទើបប្រជា ជនមករស់នៅតាមផ្ទះជាលក្ខណៈហូបចុកឯងជន អ្នកណាធ្វើបាន ប៉ុណ្ណាហូបប៉ុណ្ណឹង មិនដូចជំនាន់ខែ្មរក្រហមទេ។
