About 1,500 Khmer Viet Cong soldiers armed with rifles and an ammunitions, under the command of a Khmer Viet Cong general, unknown name, established shelters at VV 804-136 in Prey Pra Sap village, at VV 824-140 in Prey Preal village and at VV 823-090 in Kra Sang village, Tom Peang Russei sub-district, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom province. They attempted to attack the national defense line to the North of Kampong Thom provincial town shortly there after.
ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល១,៥០០នាក់ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឧត្ដមសេនីយ៍ខ្មែរយៀកកុងម្នាក់មិនស្គាល់ឈ្មោះ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ និងដឹកគ្រាប់ រំសេវ២ត្រាក់ទរ័ ចូលមកតាំងជម្រកនៅភូមិព្រៃប្រស់ ចំណុចវ៉េវ៉េៈ ៨០៤-១៣៦ និងភូមិព្រៃព្រាល ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េវ៉េៈ ៨២៤-១៤០, ភូមិក្រសាំង វ៉េវ៉េៈ ៨២៣-០៩០ ក្នុងឃុំទំពាំងឫស្សី ស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយ ខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ។ខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះមានបំណងវាយ ប្រហារខ្សែក្រវាត់ការពារក្រុងប៉ៃលិន ខាងជើងខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗនេះ។
