On September 18, 1973, 300 Khmer rebel supported troops of region 15, departed from Ta Mao mountain of Prek Rorka, divided into 2 groups and deployed in Pratheat village, Krang Kor and Krang En village in Preah Puth sub-district, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. The enemy aimed to destroy the road from Bakau to national road 38 and attack Pochentong airport.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៨-កញ្ញា-១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ ជាទ័ព ជំនួយក្នុងតំបន់១៥ ប្រដាប់អាវុធបានធ្វើចលនាចេញពីភ្នំតាម៉ៅ ព្រែករកា ហើយបានបំបែកគ្នាជា២ក្រុម ហើយចូលមកស្នាក់នៅរាយគ្នា តាមភូមិប្រធាតុ, ក្រាំងគរ និងភូមិក្រាំងអិន សង្កាត់ព្រះពុទ្ធ ស្រុកកណ្ដាល ស្ទឹងខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ខ្មាំងមានគោលបំណងប្រុង វាយកាត់ផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវពីបាគូ ទៅផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៣៨ ហើយវាយលុកចូលចំណតអាកាសយានដ្ឋាន ពោធិ៍ចិនតុង។
