From October 24, 1973 up to now, Khmer rebels in Kampot province were taking steps to oust North Viet-Cong soldiers sheltering along the mountains in Banteay Meas district to Vietnam. Recently, the North Viet-Cong soldiers withdrew their troops and weapons from the mountains and moved towards Banteay Meas and Chong Tnaot Trang sub-district in the region close to the Vietnamese border. North Viet-Cong soldiers were led by a commander named Bay Song staying in Krang Rorka village, whose duty was to mornitor the withdrawal of their troops to South Vietnam.
តាំងពីថ្ងៃទី២៤-តុលា-១៩៧៣ មកទល់សព្វថ្ងៃខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមនៅ ខេត្ដ កំពត កំពុងចាត់ការបណេ្ដញទ័ពយៀកកុងខាងជើង ដែលតាំងជម្រក នៅតាមភ្នំនានា ក្នុងស្រុកបន្ទាយមាស ឱ្យដកទៅប្រទេសយៀកណាម វិញ។ ឥឡូវនេះយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងបានដកទ័ព និងដឹកគ្រឿងអាវុធ ចេញពីភ្នំ ហើយធ្វើចលនាសំដៅទៅសង្កាត់បន្ទាយមាស និងត្នោតចុង ត្រង់ក្នុងតំបន់ព្រំប្រទល់ដែនយួន។ ទ័ពយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងនេះ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ បាយសុង ដែលនៅភូមិក្រាំងរកា មាននាទី ត្រួតពិនិត្យ នូវការដកថយទ័ពរបស់វាទៅប្រទេសយៀកណាម ខាងត្បូងវិញ។
