Neang Kavvuthy lived in Svay Rieng, was arrested by Phnom Penh military police on July-16-1971. She was suspected of being Vietcong. She explained that she had been kidnapped by the vietcong while she were was harvesting rice and then was assigned to study medecine for 6 months. Then, she escaped to defect to the troop and military police of Svay Rieng.
នាង កាវវុទ្ធី មានទីលំនៅស្វាយរៀង ត្រូវបានតម្រួតយោធាភ្នំពេញ ចាប់ខ្លួននៅថ្ងៃ១៦-កក្ដដា-១៩៧១ពីបទសង្ស័យជាភ្នាក់ងារយៀកកុង។ សាម៉ីខ្លួនបានឆ្លើយសារភាពថា ត្រូវពួកយៀកកុងចាប់យកទៅនៅពេល កំពុងច្រូតស្រូវហើយពួកវាបញ្ជូនទៅហាត់រៀនវិជ្ជាពេទ្យចំនួន៦ខែ ទើបបានភៀសខ្លួនរត់រួចមកចូលទៅបង្ហាញខ្លួនដល់ផ្នែកសិករង និងតម្រួតយោធាខេត្ដស្វាយរៀង។
