On September-01-1973, 2000-strong mixed forces including Khmer, Viet-Cong, Cham and Lao traveled from Kampong Thom province via Tonle sap and came to deploy themselves in a hidden place. Their aim was to cut off the sretch of the national road 5 between Kbal Damrei market and Trapeang Chann.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ១-កញ្ញា-១៩៧៣ ខ្មាំងប្រហែល២០០០នាក់ ចំរុះដោយ យួនយៀកកុង ខ្មែរ ចាម និងលាវបានធ្វើចលនាចេញពីកំពង់ធំ កាត់តាមទនេ្លសាបមករាយគ្នាលាក់ខ្លួនក្នុងគោលបំណងវាយផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវ ជាតិលេខ៥ ត្រង់ចន្លោះផ្សារក្បាលដំរី និងត្រពាំងចាន់។
