On August-21-1973, a nunber of Khmer Rebels transported bullets by 7 buffalo-carts departing from Skun village in Tapeang Russei commune, Kampong Svay district to be deposited in the region, east of Kampong Thom. Another 400 Khmer Rebels departed from Champoh village and Sochey village in Kampong Svay subdistrict, Kampong Svay district to shelter in Trapeang Veng village in Sra Yov subdistrict, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom province. Their aim was to attack the national army base at Kdei Sen, South of Kampong Thom province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ២១-សីហា-១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមមួយចំនួនបានដឹកគ្រាប់រំសេវ តាមរទេះក្របី៧គ្រឿង ចេញពីភូមិស្គន់ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ត្រពាំងឫស្សី ស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយ យកមកទុកនៅតំបន់ខាងកើតក្រុងកំពង់ធំ។ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ចំនួន ៤០០នាក់ទៀតបានធ្វើចលនាចេញពីភូមិចំពុះ និងភូមិសូរជៃ ក្នុងសង្កាត់កំពង់ស្វាយស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយបានមកតាំងទីជំរកនៅ ភូមិត្រពាំងវែងក្នុងសង្កាត់ស្រយ៉ូវស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ។ គោលបំណងខ្មាំងប្រុងវាយទីតាំងទ័ពជាតិនៅក្ដីសែនខាងត្បូងកំពង់ធំ។
