Phatt Sary was a commander of company 221, battalion 249 in region 15, special zone. There were 100 forces in that battalion, the majority of them came from Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Kampong Cham, Kampot and Kandal. The ammunition that battalion consumed was supplied by Chinese communist. Khmer liberation educated inhabitants that the war were provoked for the sake of inhabitant, to eliminate reactionism and feudalism and other suppressible classe and liberate the country. Some combatants wanted to countinue fighting but some lost their fighting spirit and wanted to defect to republican government. Sary defected because the person was prohibited to believe in Buddhism. Most of all, the liberation troop praticed absolute dicipline, burned down religious temple and schools and treated inhabitants badly.
ផាត់ សារី បានចូលបម្រើឱ្យចលនាខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដ ក្នុងឋានៈជាមេបញ្ជា ការកងអនុសេនាធំ២២១ កងវរសេនាតូច២៤៩ ប្រចាំតំបន់១៥ ភូមិភាគពិសេស។ ក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូចនេះមានកម្លាំងទាំងអស់១០០នាក់ ដែលភាគច្រើនយុទ្ធជនទាំងនេះមកពីខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ សៀមរាប កំពង់ចាម កំពត និង កណ្ដាល គ្រឿងសព្វាវុធដែលអង្គភាពនេះប្រើប្រាស់គឺបាន មកពីជំនួយរបស់ចិនកុម្មុយនិស្ដ។ ពួកខ្មែររំដោះបានឃោសនាប្រាប់ ប្រជាជនថាសង្គ្រាមនេះជាសង្គ្រាមប្រជាជនហើយការធ្វើបដិវត្ដនេះ គឺបម្រើប្រជាជន រំដោះទឹកដីឱ្យប្រជាជន និងវាយកំចាត់របបសក្ដិភូមិ នាយទុនប្រតិកិរិយា និងវណ្ណជិះជាន់លើប្រជាជនក្រីក្រ។ ចំពោះ ទឹកចិត្ដយុទ្ធជនក្នុងកងឯកភាពនេះមានមួយចំនួនចង់ប្រយុទ្ធតទៅទៀត ចំនែកមួយចំនួនទៀតបាត់ស្មារតីប្រយុទ្ធចង់រត់មកខាងរដ្ឋាភិបាល សាធារណរដ្ឋវិញ ដើម្បីធ្វើជាប្រជាជនធម្មតា។ មូលហេតុដែលជន នេះចូលរួបរួមដោយសារពួករំដោះប្រើលទ្ធិតឹងរ៉ឹងហាមប្រាមមិនឱ្យ ជឿព្រះពុទ្ធសាសនា ដុតព្រះវិហារ សាលារៀន និងជាពិសេសប្រើ អំពើឃោរឃៅមកលើប្រជាជន។
