On February 5, 1972, about 700 Viet Cong Armed Forces departed from Leuk Dek district to hide in a forest in Northern of Koh Teav bridge about 1 Km at WT 060-175, Sampov Poun sub-district, Koh Thom district, Kandal province. The other group of 800 armed forces came to set up shelters in Prey Lvea at WT 078-250 and WT 079-25, Prek Sdei sub-district, Koh Thom distric, Kandal province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី០៥ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ មានយួនយៀកកុងប្រហែល៧០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធបានឆ្លងចេញពីស្រុកលើកដែក មកលាក់ខ្លួននៅព្រៃ ប៉ែកខាងជើងស្ពានកោះទាវ ប្រហែល១គីឡូម៉ែត្រ ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ០៦០-១៧៥ ឃុំសំពៅពូន ស្រុកកោះធំ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ នៅមាន យួនយៀកកុងមួយក្រុមទៀតប្រហែល៨០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយ អាវុធបានចូលមកតាំងជម្រកនៅព្រៃល្វា ត្រង់ឌុបដឺវ៉េ០៧៨-២៥០ និង ០៧៩-២៥១ ឃុំព្រែកក្ដី ស្រុកកោះធំ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។
