A source reported that on May 15, 1973, some 250 Viet Cong and Khmer Rebels equipped with guns and under the command of Ngeb and Ngak, were stationed in a forced 8 Km away from Prasat village at UV 254-503, in Sangkat Tapon, Sangke district, Battambang province. The source added that they were waiting for reinforcement and then would attack the National Army in that region.
