A source reported that on 17 May, 1973, approximately various guns and under the commander name Ta Khla, moved from Takeo province and hide in Khsach Ron village at VS: 070-729 in Kampot sub-district, Kampot province. Between May 19-25, 1973, they attempted to attack Kampot town.
ប្រភបបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៧ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ចំនួនប្រហែល១៥០នាក់ និងយួនយៀកកុងចំនួន៤០នាក់ ជាអ្នកបចេ្ចកទេសប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ តាខ្លា បានចេញពីតាកែវ រួចចូលមកបង្កប់ខ្លួននៅភូមិខ្សាច់រុនត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េអេហ្វៈ ០៧០-៧២៩ក្នុងសង្កាត់កំពត ស្រុកកំពត។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ថាគោល បំណងរបស់ខ្មាំងគឺវាយប្រហារក្រុងកំពតចាប់ពីថ្ងៃទី១៩ រហូតដល់ថ្ងៃទី២៥ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣នៅក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗ។
