Un An, ex-member of Battalion 402, managed to escape from the enemy's army and defected in July 20, 1974 in Ra Luos at VU 858-997 at the time when he took a rest during he was on guard duty in Kvav village at VU 926-850. He also brought with a CKC and 60 bullets. He confirmed that there were about 350 staffs in Battalion ៈ 402 and there were many kinds of weapons such as a 82 mm - cannon motar with about 5 or 6 bullets, and many other kinds of gun.
អ៊ុន អាន អតីតជាកូនក្រុមនៅកងវរៈសេនាតូច៤០២ បានភៀសខ្លួន ចេញពីកងទ័ពខ្មាំងមកសារភាពនៅរលួស ត្រង់ចំណុចវីយូ ៨៥៨-៩៩៧ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២០ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ នៅពេលដែលសាមុីជនត្រូវផ្អាក យាមនៅភូមិខ្វាវ ត្រង់វីយូ ៩២៦-៨៥០ ដោយនាំមកជាមួយនូវ សេកាសេមួយដើម និងគ្រាប់៦០គ្រាប់ ទៀត សាម៉ីជនបានបញ្ជាក់ថា នៅក្នុងវរៈសេនាតូច ៤០២ មានបុគ្គលិកប្រហែលជា ៣៥០នាក់ ហើយប្រើកាំភ្លើងធុនត្បាល់ ៨២មួយដើម មានគ្រាប់ពី៥ទៅ៦គ្រាប់ កាំភ្លើងត្បាល់៦០មីលីម៉ែត្រ មួយដើម និងកាំភ្លើងដទៃជាច្រើនទៀត។
