Chea Meng was arrested by national army in division ៈ3 on February 18, 1974 in the battlefield, east of Prey Rong pagoda, Kampong Kantuot, Kandal provice. Meng confessed that he served in the army of Khmer communist on January 1974 as a combatant in group ៈ3 of platoon ៈ21, company ៈ13, battalion ៈ403, region ៈ33. The national army seized a M-16 and 60 bullets.
ជា ម៉េង ត្រូវកងទ័ពជាតិនៃកងពលធំទី៣ចាប់ខ្លួនបានកាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៨ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ លើលានប្រយុទ្ធខាងកើតវត្ដព្រៃរោង(កំពង់កន្ទួត) ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ សាមុីជនបានសារភាពថា ខ្លួនបានចូលបម្រើក្នុងចលនា ខ្មែរកុម្មុយនីស្ដតំាងពីខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ មកម៉េ្លះ ដោយមាននាទីជា យុទ្ធជនក្នុងក្រុមទី៣ កងអនុសេនាតូច២១ កងអនុសេនាធំទី១៣ កង វរៈសេនាតូច៤០៣ តំបន់លេខ៣៣។ ក្នុងការចាប់ខ្លួនឈ្មោះ ជា ម៉េង នេះកងទ័ពជាតិដកហូតបាននូវអាវុធអឹម១៦ មួយដើមព្រមទាំង គ្រាប់៦០គ្រាប់ទៀត។
