Main Crime Details :

Running back to my house in Mankolsla village, Damrei Slap district, I was arrested in an old village located next to Mankolsla village by a security police named Toeun. After being tricked by a base cadre named Ban, who called upon me to attend a meeting held two hundred meters from my house, I was arrested and sent to a security center in Mongkolsela village. Though I was not beaten, I was detained and starved for two days. I did not see many other prisoners detained there.
I became aware that some inmates had been sent to another prison when they were accused of being involved in traitorous actions against Angkar. I was detained at the security center in 1976 because I escaped from home without asking for permission. Prior to my arrest, I worked on building the 30 September dam. Two days after my detention, I was released. Angkar then sent me back to build the 30 September dam. At this time, Chhouy was also released. In 1976, Angkar arrested Long Dien, who lived with me, because they accused him of destroying Angkar’s property. Dien killed a buffalo in Mongkolsla village, and the Ankgar found out about this incident. Dien was arrested in the afternoon, put into a cart, driven out of the village and taken to the forest behind the village. I learned from villagers that he was killed on that same day. Everyone was aware of this incident. After 1979, Dien’s sibling went to dig up his body in order to hold a religious ceremony for his soul. Ta Ko, a construction site chief in Damrei Slap commune, ordered Dien’s arrest. Whenever he received orders from higher levels, he summoned security police chiefs to successfully carry out the orders. |
