Saom Sarin, a Khmer Communist , defected on December 23, 1973. He confessed that he had served the Viet Cong Movement between April 1970, and August 1971, he resigned his current job and became normal citizen.
ថ្ងៃ២៣ ធ្នូ ១៩៧៣ មានខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ សោម សារិន ហៅ ស៊ិម បានមកចុះចូលជាមួយសង្គមជាតិវិញ។ សាម៉ីជនថាខ្លួនបានចូលបម្រើក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច៥១០ របស់យួនយៀកកុងតាំងពី ខែមេសា ១៩៧០ លុះមកដល់ ខែសីហា ១៩៧១ សុំឈប់ធ្វើជាប្រជាជនវិញ។
