On May 7-8, 1972, a squad of enemies attacked the National security forces at a new dam at Prek Ho at VT 940-664. On the night of May 8, 1972, the enemies relying on 200 reinfercements, refused to withdraw and were about to conquer Takhmau provincial town on the night of May 8-9, 1972.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ ៧-៨ ឧសភា ១៩៧២ មានពួកខ្មាំងមួយក្រុមបានមក វាយប្រហារកងការពារជាតិនៅទំនប់ថ្មីព្រែកហូរ ចំណុចវ៉េតេ៩៤០-៦៦៤ អស់រយៈពេលពីរថ្ងៃគឺថ្ងៃ ៧-៨ ឧសភា ១៩៧២។ លុះដល់រាត្រីថ្ងៃ ៨ ឧសភា ១៩៧២ ពួកខ្មាំងនៅតែក្រាញ់ននៀល មិនព្រមដកថយព្រោះខ្មាំងអាងលើកងទ័ពជំនួយរបស់ពួកវាដែលមាន ទ័ពប្រមាណ២០០នាក់ ហើយមានបំណងវាយដណ្ដើមយកក្រុងតាខ្មៅ ក្នុងរាត្រីទី ៨-៩ ឧសភា ១៩៧២ នេះឱ្យបាន។
