Chet Horn, a Secretary and Financier of Mr. Seun Chea, the Economic Deputy of Region 35, Zone 304, managed to escape and defected to the authorities of the National Army on December 4, 1973. Horn, confessed that he recognised four people in the Viet Cong committee: Nam Dong, the chief of committee and chief commander who controlled Unit 500; Nam, deputy; Ngvieng, committee member; and Tam, committee member.
