Between July 16 and 18, 1977, Cambodian soldiers fired hundreds mortar-shells into An Yan provincial town in Vietnam where Vietnamese people were living, during shelling 60 were killed, 50 were wounded, and a lot of houses were damaged. Both government replied letters to each others, in which, Vietmanese suggested Cambodian to cease invasion urgently. On July 18, 1977, Vietnamese ambassador's deputy came to meet comrade Hong in Phnom Penh in order to resolve this problem. The report was copied for uncle Nuon, and brothers Vann, Vorn, Khieu, and the documentation office.
នៅថ្ងៃទី១៦និង ១៨ ខែ៧ ១៩៧៧កន្លងមកនេះ កងទ័ពកម្ពុជាបានបាញ់មកលើខេត្ដអានយ៉ាន ដោយកាំភ្លើងត្បាល់រាប់រយគ្រាប់លើ តំបន់មនុស្សកុះករ បណ្ដាលឱ្យមនុស្ស ៦០នាក់ ស្លាប់ ៥០នាក់ រងរបួស និងផ្ទះជាច្រើនខ្នងត្រូវឆេះ។ ភាគីទាំងពីបានសរសេរ សំបុត្រឆ្លើយតបគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក។ ផ្នែកវៀតណាមបានស្នើខាង កម្ពុជាបញ្ឈប់ភ្លាមនូវអំពើឈ្លានពានទាំងនេះ ហើយភារធាវីរបស់ វៀតណាមបានមកជួបសមមិត្ដ ហុង នៅថ្ងៃទី១៨ ខែ៧ នៅភ្នំពេញ ដើម្បីដោះស្រាយពីរឿងនេះដែរ។ ចម្លងជូនអុំ, អុំនួន, បងវ៉ាន់, បងខៀវ, បងវន និង មន្ទីរឯកសារ។
