On July 9, 1977, a Chinese airplane "LR 951" carrying 66 passengers including 61 Chinese nationals and 5 foreign nationals landed at Pochentong. On July 12, 1977, an airplane "VN-445 and 446" of Palestinian Liberation Army delegation asked for permission to land at Pochentong and was due to take off on July 15, 1977. According to brother Hong's affirmation, landing was approved.
