Nuon Thach and Yun Yan were a former khmer rouge soldiers of company 333, battalion 133, region 159, both of them joined in khmer rouge military since February 1974, but they defected to national troop on May 22, 1974 at Chambakmeas pagoda as they did not want to join in fighting anymore. Battalion 133 was devided into 3 companies which was comprised 100 soldiers in each unit. The unit's duty was to attack on Longvek, Trapeangpreay and Phnom Penh city, But presently the unit lack of food supplies, medicines, ammunitions and at the sametime maleria disease was widespread throughout the unit. Moreover, many combatants were killed and injured. Only 200 soldiers alived of those unit.
នួន ថាច និង យុន យ៉ាន អតីតទាហានខ្មែរក្រហមនៃ កងអនុសេនា ធំលេខ៣៣៣ កងវរសេនាតូចលេខ១៣៣ តំបន់១៥៩ អ្នកទាំងពីរ ចូលបម្រើខ្មែរក្រហមតាំងពីខែកុម្ភៈ ១៩៧៤។ ដោយមិនពេញចិត្ដ ច្បាំងក៍បានចុះចូលកងទ័ពជាតិនៅវត្ដចំបក់មាសនៅ ថ្ងៃ២២ ឧសភា ១៩៧៤។ កងវរសេនាតូចលេខ១៣៣ចែកចេញជា ៣កងអនុសេនាធំ ដែលមានទ័ព១០០នាក់ ក្នុងកងនីមួយៗ។ បេសកកម្មកងនេះគឺវាយ លង្វែកត្រពាំងព្រាយ ហើយវាយភ្នំពេញតែម្ដង។ សព្វថ្ងៃខ្មាំងក្នុងកង នេះខ្វះស្បៀង ថ្នាំពេទ្យ គ្រាប់រំសេវ កើតជម្លឺគ្រុនចាញ់រាតត្បាត។ ម្យ៉ាងទៀតយុទ្ធជនត្រូវស្លាប់ និងជាច្រើនសព្វថ្ងៃនៅសល់តែ២០០នាក់។
