But Bun was a combatant in battalion251, stationing in zone 15. Bun defected to national troop on May 21, 1974 at Tuol village.The battalion 251 was devided into 3 company which was responsible for protecting region 15 and attacking Phnom Penh surrounding area lying from national road 4 to Oddor Meanchey. In middle 1973, the enemy had collected all of people properties, excepting gold, money and kitchen facility. But the villager had to made an exchange of gold, money and kitchen facility with the enemy later on. The enemy had played a trick in recruting by forcing a healthy person to do overwork, so that people decided to join army because army was given free food and clothes.
ប៊ុត ប៊ុន ជាយុទ្ធជននៅកងវរសេនាតូចលេខ២៥១ ប្រចាំតំបន់១៥ ចុះចូលនៅថ្ងៃ២១ ឧសភា ១៩៧៤ នៅភូមិទួល។ កងនេះចែកចេញជា៣ កងអនុសេនាធំមានភារកិច្ចការពារតំបន់១៥ និងវាយតំបន់នានាជុំវិញ ក្រុងភ្នំពេញចាប់ពីផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៤ ដល់ខេត្ដឧត្ដរមានជ័យ។ ចាប់តាំងពីពាក់ កណ្ដាលឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មាំងបានរិបអូសទ្រព្យសម្បត្ដិប្រជាជនដាក់រួម លើកលែងតែមាស ប្រាក់ និងចានឆ្នាំង។ តែក្រោយមកប្រជាជនត្រូវយក មាសប្រាក់ទៅដូរបស់របរជាមួយខ្មាំងមូលហេតុប្រកបមុខរបបរមិនបាន។ ក្នុងការរើសទ័ពខ្មាំងបានប្រើល្បិចឱ្យអ្នកមានសុខភាពល្អធ្វើការធ្ងន់លុះត្រាតែ ទ្រាំមិនបានរត់ចូលធ្វើទ័ពដោយខ្លួនឯងព្រោះធ្វើទ័ពមានពេលសម្រាប់ហូប ស្រាប់ និងមានសំលៀកបំពាក់។
