Saom Kheng was a combatant in group 3, company 3, battalion 703 in zone 304. In 1974, he was appointed by the communist Angkar to continue political studies and military tactics in order to strengthen the spirit of belief in communist theory in an attempt to oppose the feudalist and corrupt republican government, the puppet of the American imperialist. This battalion comprised 200 soldiers equipped with all kinds of weapons and stationing in Sambo village along the national raod n.6. The battalion served as the reinforcement force in zone 304 to prepare ambash on vessel convoys of the national army, along the Eastern area of Tunle sap. The Khmer Communist educated and encouraged combatants gradually to hate and took spite against Sihanouk because they viewed Sihanouk as a feudalist, and the main authoritarian and corrupt man. Sihanouk killed many Khmer Rouge people and stayed most of the times abroad alone. But the enemy Angkar propagandized to people to love Sihanouk because they had deep rooted love for Sihanouk.
សោម ខេង ជាយុទ្ធជននៅក្រុមទី ៣ កងអនុសេនាធំទី ៣ វរសេនា តូច ៧០៣ ប្រចាំភូមិភាគ ៣០៤។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ជននេះត្រូវបាន អង្គការកុម្មុយនិស្ដជ្រើសឱ្យទៅរៀនសូត្រនយោបាយនិងក្បួនយោធា ដើម្បីពង្រឹងស្មារតីជំនឿនូវទ្រឹស្ដីកុម្មុយនិស្ដ ក្នុងគោលបំណងប្រឆាំង នឹងរបបសាធារណរដ្ឋ និងអំពើពុករលួយ សក្ដិភូមិដែលជាបរិវាបម្រើឱ្យ ចក្រពត្ដិអាមេរិក។ ក្នុងកងនេះមានកងទ័ពចំនួន២០០នាក់ប្រដាប់ ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ធុនដែលមានទីតាំងនៅភូមិសំបូរតាមបណ្ដោយផ្លូវជាតិ លេខ៦។ កងនេះជាកម្លាំងជំនួយនៅក្នុងភូមិភាគ ៣០៤ក្នុងការវាយ ប្រហារតាមបណ្ដោយដងទនេ្លសាបត្រើយខាងកើតត្រៀមចាំបាញ់ កងនាវារបស់កងទ័ពជាតិ។ ពួកខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដបានអប់រំនិងទាក់ទាញ យុទ្ធជនបន្ដិចម្ដងៗឱ្យស្អប់និងចងគំនុំជាមួយសីហនុដោយលើកឡើង ថាៈសីហនុជាមេពុករលួយ សក្ដិភូមិនិយមប្រើអំណាចផ្ដាច់ការ។ ហើយជាពិសេសទៅទៀតសីហនុបានសម្លាប់អ្នកតស៊ូខ្មែរក្រហម ពីមុនអស់ជាច្រើននាក់ ហើយសំងំរស់នៅតែបរទេសតែម្នាក់ឯង។ ចំពោះប្រជាជនវិញពួកអង្គការខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដបានឃោសនាបំផុសឱ្យ ស្រឡាញ់សេ្ដចសីហនុពីព្រោះប្រជាជនភាគច្រើនស្រឡាញ់សេ្ដចខ្លាំង ណាស់។
