A source said that on August 1, 1973, about 150 armed Khmer rebels left Svay village to deploy in Tep Montrei village, Prek Tamak sub-district, Khsach Kandal district. They planned to attack National Armed Forces position in Prek Tamak and Kroch Chmar in the near future.
ប្រភពផ្ដល់ថា កាលពីថ្ងៃ ១ សីហា ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រមាណ ១៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធបានចេញពីភូមិស្វាយ ហើយទៅរាយ គ្នានៅភូមិទេពមន្ដ្រី ឃុំព្រែកតាមាក់ ស្រុកខ្សាច់កណ្ដាល។ គោល បំណងរបស់វា ប្រុងវាយប្រហារទីតាំងទ័ពជាតិនៅព្រែកតាម៉ាក់ និងក្រូចសើចក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗ។
