On August 22, 1973, about 500 armed Khmer rebels and Viet Congs moved from Prek Tnort and Ampil Ta Chhorm and positioned in Kries Khmey village and Ta Peang village in Trie sub-district, Kampong Siem district, Kampong Cham province. Those enemies attempted to smash our National Armed Forces Base and Kampong Cham Airport in Kampong Cham province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ ២២ សីហា ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម និងយៀកកុងយួន ប្រមាណ ៥០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានធ្វើចលនា ចេញពីព្រែក ត្នោត និងអំពិលតាឆម ចូលមកតាំងទីលំនៅក្នុង ភូមិគ្រៀសថ្មី តាពាង ក្នុងឃុំទ្រាន ស្រុកកំពង់សៀម។ ពួកខ្មាំងទាំងនេះមានបំណង ប្រុងវាយលុកទីតាំងកងទ័ពជាតិយើង នៅចំណតយន្ដហោះខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម។
