Main Crime Details :
Forced labor

After I returned from Kampong Thom provincial town, Khlaut, a cooperative chief, did not allow me to live in a village. Instead, they sent us to live in the forest because they considered us “candidate people. When we arrived in the forest, we were assigned to do collective farming. Ry, a female unit chief, sent me to pull out rice seedlings: three phlaun per morning and two plaun per evening.

Once I finished pulling out three plaun of rice seedlings every morning, Ry then ordered me to pull out five plaun of rice seedlings per morning. After assigning me to pull out rice seedlings, they sent me to transplant rice seedlings for the duration of the day. In 1975, approximately five months after returning from Kampong Thom, I became pregnant. When I was two months pregnant, they ordered me to spend my entire day building huge rice dykes.

After growing exhausted, I went to female comrade Tha and said that I could no longer work. She said that if I didn’t keep working, they would not give me rations. This is why I struggled to work until I gave birth. After I gave birth to my child, they allowed me to take half a month off. Later on, they summoned me to collect cow dung to make fertilizer. In addition, they sent me to dig Dambok land, a kind of land used to make fertilizer, and cut Antreangkhet tree, a kind of tree used to make fertilizer. I worked like this until the liberation.
Other Crime :
Property destruction

Before being evacuated to Kampong Thom by Lon Nol soldiers, my living conditions were quite good. When I returned, however, Khlaut and his partisans took away my property (including my house, ten cows, cart, and other goods). Khlaut, a unit chief, stated that because we were evacuees, they could not hold this property for us: it needed to be collected and used collectively. It was 1975 when we returned to Kampong Thom.
