On August 19, 1973, about 600 armed Khmer guerrillas in unitៈ09 and 62 divided themselves into two groups and came to deploy in village as following:
- About 300 people stayed in Kan Leng Chah village, Ban Tiey Dek sub-district, Kean Svay district, Kandal province. - About 300 people stayed in SO Phy village, Dey Et sub-district, Kean Svay district, Kandal province. These Khmer guerrillas attempted to attack on the National Armed Forces Base from the plywood factory to office of Kor Ky district in the near future. កាលពីថ្ងៃ ១៩ សីហា ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រហែលជា៦០០នាក់ ក្នុង កងលេខ០៩ និង៦២ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានបំបែក គ្នាជា ពីរក្រុមហើយចូលទៅលាក់ខ្លួននៅភូមិនានាដូចជាៈ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ប្រហែលជា៣០០នាក់ នៅក្នុងភូមិកន្លែងចាស់ក្នុង ឃុំបន្ទាយដែក ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ខ្មែរប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ នៅក្នុង ភូមិសូភី ក្នុងឃុំដីឥដ្ឋ ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាលពួកខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ទាំងនេះមាន បំណងវាយប្រហារកងទ័ពយើងចាប់ពីរោងចក្រក្ដារ បន្ទះឥដ្ឋមកទល់នឹងសាលាស្រុកគគី ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗនេះ។
