On August 12, 1973, Khmer guerrillas prepared a plan in which they assigned their soldiers to mingle with villagers in order to buy 4 sets of scuba equipments from market or our national armed forces to blow up Kbal Thnal bridge. Specially, 60 soldiers of Khmer guerrilla were appointed to be suicide commando, and they then divided themselves into two groups.
- First group was responsible for fighting against the National Armed forces base in Chbar Ampeou district and bridge security bodyguards. - Second group was responsible for ambushing our National Navy in order to cut off Kbal Thnal bridge. កាលពីថ្ងៃ ១២ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ពួកខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមបានរៀប ចំផែនការ មួយឱ្យពួកវាដើរកទិញឧបករណ៍សម្រាប់មុជទឹកចំនួន ៤គ្រឿង ដែលលក់ក្នុងផ្សារឬក៏ទាក់ទងរកទិញពីទាហានជាតិយើង ដើម្បីយកទៅមុជទឹកផ្ដាច់ស្ពានក្បាលថ្នល់។ ម្យ៉ាងទៀតពួកវាបាន បង្កើតជាក្រុម កុម្ម៉ង់ដូមួយមានកម្លាំងទាំងអស់៦០នាក់ហើយ ចែកចេញជា២ក្រុម។ ក្រុមទី១ ចូលបាញ់រំខានទីតាំងកងទ័ពជាតិ នៅខ័ណ្ឌច្បារអំពៅ និងកងការពារស្ពាន។ ទី២ ស្ទាក់បាញ់កងម៉ារីន ជាតិដើម្បីទុកឱកាសឱ្យពួកវាធ្វើការផ្ដាច់ ស្ពានក្បាលថ្នល់។
