On 11 June 1973, 100 Khmer Rebel Armed Forces in Battalion 35 dug tranches along a path in a forest from UU 698-882 in Sangkat Brak Noem, Bakan district in order to raid the National Army operating in that region.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១១ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមចំនួន១០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច៣៥ បានជីកលេដ្ឋាន តាមបណ្ដោយផ្លូវលំស្ថិតក្នុងព្រៃចាប់ពីអ៊ុយអ៊ុយ ៦៩៨-៨៨២ រហូតដល់អ៊ុយអ៊ុយ ៧០៤-៨៧៧ ក្នុងសង្កាត់បាក់នឹម ស្រុកបាកាន ដើម្បីចាំស្ទាក់វាយកងទ័ពជាតិ ដែលនឹងទៅប្រតិបត្ដិការណ៍នៅក្នុងតំបន់នោះ។
